STEM at Jefferson

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. At Jefferson Township Local Schools, we are emphasizing the importance of increasing interest in these high tech and rigorious fields in a number of ways.

Our Blairwood fifth graders, through a recent partnership with Wright Patterson Air Force Base, will be participating in their STARBASE program. These students will travel onsite to WPAFB and do a number of exciting experiments using aeronautics, engineering, physics, and mathematics.

At Jefferson Jr/Sr High School, our Mathematics and Science departments are bringing STEM classes to our students. In these classes, our students apply the many facets of real world science and scientific method to mathematical and engineering theories. With an ever increasing number of activities and experiments, our STEM experience is growing!

Jefferson Township Local Schools is excited about STEM and will continue to improve, not only our relationships with local STEM resources, but also the STEM curriculum within our schools to show our students how important these educational disciplines truly are.
