Jefferson Township Local Schools is proud to announce that our own Mr. Eddie Davis, Jr. has been awarded the Outstanding Mentor Award from the Mentoring Collaborative of Montgomery County. He stands beside Jefferson Alumni LaVar Glover (class of 1997) who also won an Outstanding Mentor award. Jefferson Township Local Schools is proud of both these gentlemen for their achievements.
On January 24, 2012 the district hosted a spelling bee for Blairwood and Jr./Sr. Students. The district would like to thank all of those who participated and are proud to announce the following winners. For Blairwood : Chanelle Works placed 1st with Jada Houston in 2nd followed by Di’Amoni Bowman 3rd. For the Jr./Sr. High School Terasha Barwic-Long took 1st place followed by Melissa Sivils in 2nd. Congratulations to everyone for their hard work!
Jefferson Township Local Schools is proud to announce that we will be working with Wright Patterson Air Force Base to bring Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education to our students. With programs such as STARBASE and Wizards of Wright, we hope to inspire our students to reach for greater heights in the realms of math and science. We would also like to thank Daniel Andrews Chief of the Educational Outreach Office and his colleague Krista Gerhardt for thinking of Jefferson Township Schools for their supply donation drive. We are greatful for their assistance and generosity.
