We are working relentlessly to focus our energies and efforts in these two areas. The central focus of a highly effective school district is standards-based, research-driven instruction delivered on a day-to-day basis. Gone is the day where mediocrity and sub-par performance in the areas of teaching and learning is acceptable. Failure is not an option for us. We are in the process of upgrading and aligning our curriculum and day-to-day instructional practices to meet the needs of 21st century learners across the district. We ask that you persistently encourage your child/children to come to school daily with the mindset of putting forth their absolute best. We will accept nothing less.

We now offer over 75 different course offerings through our virtual learning classrooms. Thanks to Ohio's "Credit Flexibility" initiative, as well as the vision of Dr. Gates and the Jefferson Township Local School's Board of Education, we now award high school credit through our virtual classrooms. This affords our students tremendous opportunities to diversify their learning experiences and hone the skills necessary to navigate through the technological world. In addition, for the first time in Jefferson Township's history, students have access to Sinclair Community College through our "College Corner". Students who meet the criteria are able to gain college credit while still in high school at no cost to parents/guardians.
